Limegreen were approached by local organisation artREGEN in partnership with Torfaen County Council to provide its services for their annual event Opera In The Park in Pontypool in June this year. Every year the event showcases the talents of the singers and the musicians of the Welsh National Opera.
After an initial site visit, Production Manager Alex Cameron designed an effective temporary power and distribution system to power three separate performance areas of the park; the bandstand, the Italian Gardens and a main stage performance area in the event marquee.
In addition to the power and distribution, Limegreen supplied and installed sound and lighting systems for both indoor and outdoor performance areas. One of Limegreen's experienced technicians was on hand to ensure the technical aspects of the event went without a hitch:
'During this years Opera in the Park [Limegreen's] work in the open air was as good as that within the marquee. The musicians and singers of the Welsh National Opera were also pleased with the quality of sound and the cooperation which they received'.
